Türkiye's GDP expands 7.6% year-on-year in Q2

GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 7.6% compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the second quarter of 2022.

Financial and insurance activities increased by 26.6% in the second quarter of 2022

When the activities which constitute gross domestic product were analyzed; the value added increased by 26.6% in financial and insurance, 18.1% in services, 11.0% in professional, administrative and support service activities, 7.8% in industry, 5.3% in information and communication, 4.1% in real estate activities, 1.9% in other service activities and 1.7% in public administration, education, human health and social work activities, respectively. Agriculture, forestry and fishing and construction sector decreased by 2.9% and 10.9%, respectively.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 2.1% compared with previous quarter. Calendar adjusted GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 7.3% compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the second quarter of 2022.

GDP reached 3 trillion 418 billion 967 million TRY at current prices in the second quarter of 2022

GDP increased by 114.6% and reached 3 trillion 418 billion 967 million TRY at current prices. GDP realized 219 billion 335 million US Dollars in the second quarter of 2022.

Final consumption expenditure of resident households increased by 22.5% in the second quarter of 2022

Final consumption expenditure of resident households increased by 22.5%, government final consumption increased by 2.3% and gross fixed capital formation increased by 4.7% in the second quarter of 2022 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.

Exports of goods and services increased by 16.4%, imports increased by 5.8%

Exports of goods and services increased by 16.4% in the second quarter of 2022 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index, imports of goods and services increased by 5.8%.

Compensation of employees increased by 66.4% in the second quarter of 2022

Compensation of employees increased by 66.4% and net operating surplus/mixed income increased by 134.7% in the second quarter of 2022 compared with the same quarter of the previous year, respectively.

The share of compensation of employees in Gross Value Added was 25.4%

The share of compensation of employees in the Gross Value Added at current prices was 25.4% in the second quarter of 2022 while it was 32.6% in the previous year. The share of net operating surplus/mixed income was 54.0% while it was 49.2% in the same quarter of the previous year. (ILKHA)
