At least 10 people died when flash floods triggered by monsoon rains struck the Kushi district of Afghanistan’s eastern Logar province on Saturday.
Hundreds of residential buildings and several hectares of farmlands were destroyed in the floods, causing huge financial losses to people, according to local sources.

On 5 May, a flood affected several parts of Afghanistan. Approximately 400 people were killed by flooding.
The rain and flooding were particularly severe in the provinces of Badghis, Faryab and Baghlan.
