5.7-magnitude earthquake hits central Indonesia
An earthquake of 5.7-magnitude struck North Sulawesi province in central Indonesia on Thursday, the meteorology, climatology, and geophysics agency said.
The earthquake, which took place 111km SSW of Tomohon at 07:46 UTC, did not potentially trigger a tsunami, the agency said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 171 km, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
There were no immediate reports about possible casualties or damages caused to the infrastructure as a result of the natural calamity. (ILKHA)
