More than 100 tons dead fish pulled from Poland’s Oder River
After more than 100 tons dead fish were recovered from the Oder River running through Germany and Poland, the concerns of an environmental disaster have deepened.
“Approximately 100 tons of dead fish had been recovered since Friday with the help of more than 500 firefighters who have been recovering the dead fish in Poland using boats, quad bikes, and even a drone,” said Monika Nowakowska-Drynda of the Polish fire service.
Although the cause of the fish kill in the river is still unclear, Polish authorities fear that chemicals are involved. (ILKHA)
