Magnitude 4.0 earthquake hits eastern Turkey
A 4.0 magnitude quake struck the Kovancılar district of Turkey’s eastern Elazığ province on Wednesday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 07:24, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.8538 degrees north and a longitude of 40.1218 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.99 km.
There are no immediate reports of serious damage or deaths. (ILKHA)
