Georgian helicopter crashes during operation of rescuing paraglider
A rescue helicopter with 8 people on board crashed on its way to save paragliders in Gudauri, Georgia.
Department of the Interior Border Patrol Mi-8 helicopter fell off a cliff, lost control, and crashed while conducting an operation in Gudauri to rescue paragliders.
All 8 rescuers and medics that were on board the helicopter died, officials said.
Georgian television published images of the accident of a Mi-8 helicopter, which was participating in a rescue operation in one of the highlands of the country.
Georgia declared July 30 a day of mourning after the crash. (ILKHA)
