Istanbul Airport ranks second in the 'World's Top 10 Airports' list

Ranking second with 91.17 points in the list determined by the votes of the magazine readers, Istanbul Airport made the highest entry on the top 10.

The airport ranked second after Changi Airport, outperforming Incheon (Korea), Dubai, Hamad (Katar), Tokyo (Japan), Hong Kong, Narita (Japan), Zurich (Switzerland) and Osaka (Japan) Airports.

Istanbul Airport is the main international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the Arnavutköy district on the European side of the city.

All scheduled commercial passenger flights were transferred from Atatürk Airport to Istanbul Airport on 6 April 2019, following the closure of Atatürk Airport for scheduled passenger flights.[4] The IATA airport code IST was also transferred to the new airport.

It served more than 37 million passengers in 2021, making it the busiest airport in Europe and 13th-busiest airport in the world in terms of total passenger traffic and by serving more than 27 million international passengers the 2nd-busiest airport in the world in terms of international passenger traffic.
