Emergency crews continues to battle several wildfires in southwestern Turkey
The blaze broke out in a forested area in Datca District of Mugla Provinces at around 12:30 on Wednesday and has spread rapidly due to strong winds.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed. More than 1,500 personnel are on-site tackling the blaze with the help of 5 planes and 12 helicopters.
The fire has burned down one home in the Doseme neighborhood and several other homes in the area have been evacuated, according to local sources.
Marmaris-Datca highway has been now closed to all traffic due to aggressive fire behavior observed in the area. (ILKHA)
