Yasin Börü and his friends commemorated at site of their grave on 8th anniversary of their martyrdom
Yasin Börü and his friends, who were brutally murdered by PKK members during the October 6-8 incidents in 2014, were commemorated on the 8th anniversary of their deaths at the site of their grave in Turkey’s southeastern Diyarbakir province.
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, HÜDA PAR’s Diyarbakir provincial head Faruk Dinç, the martyrs’ families and friends, as well as many other people, attended the program which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
Speaking at the event, Ömer Çelik, the head of Martyrs Caravan Platform, said: “It is his goal and struggle in this world that makes a person human. If a person's goal and purpose are valuable, he will also be valuable. The goal of our martyrs was only to meet Allah and his pleasure. This is because of their lofty purpose, and Allah has given them martyrdom. Allah informs us in the Qur'an what our goal, purpose, and race should be.”
Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Hasan Gökgöz, Riyad Güneş, Turan Yavaş, and Cumali Güneş, who were distributing meat from sacrificed animals to poor families during Eid Al Adha in 2014, were brutally murdered by the mobs instigated by HDP and its co-chairman in the October 6-8 incidents in Diyarbakır province.
