Algerian president meets Haneyya and Abbas in Algiers
Algerian president Abdul-Majid Tebboune received Tuesday head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya and Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas during a meeting in the capital, Algiers.
According to Hamas’s website, Haneyya and Abbas arrived in the Algerian capital on Monday evening leading their delegations at the invitation of president Tebboune to participate in national events marking the Republic’s 60th independence anniversary.
Earlier, Hamas described Haneyya’s participation in the Algerian national celebrations as a reflection of the Movement’s stature in the country and the depth of the relationship between Algeria and Palestine. (ILKHA)
