Russia blocks Kazakhstan's oil transit to Europe
A Russian court has decided to close the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) for 30 days, citing violations found by Russia's federal transport watchdog Rostransnadzor.

“During an inspection ordered by Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko in March to assess the technical condition of JSC CPC-R's hazardous production facilities and compliance with environmental requirements in their operation, the regulator found several documentary violations regarding the plan to clean up oil spills,” the CBR said.
“The court Ruling (Judge A. Litvinov) of 05 July 2022 satisfied Rostransnadzor's requirements in respect of: CPC-R JSC was punished with an administrative suspension of activities for 30 days,” the CBR added.
The terminal is Kazakhstan's main exit point for Kazakh oil. (ILKHA)
