Regarding the vehicle registrations in May, cars accounted for 41.4%, followed by motorcycles 40.0%, small trucks 10.2%, tractors 5.8%, trucks 1.9%, minibuses 0.3%, buses 0.3% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.  

The number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 5.3% compared with the previous month

In May, compared with the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 8.3%, 7.3%, 3.2% and 2.2% for tractors, special purpose vehicles, motorcycles and minibuses while it decreased by 48.7%, 22.8%, 14.6% and 10.2% for buses, trucks, small trucks and cars respectively.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 46.6% compared with the same month of the previous year 

In May, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 109.9%, 49.6%, 39.6%, 21.6%, 20.9% and 8.4% for motorcycles, minibuses, tractors, cars, small trucks and special purpose vehicles while it decreased by 2.1% and 0.3% for trucks and buses respectively. 

At the end of May, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 25 million 704 thousand 749

At the end of May, cars represented 54.2%, small trucks 16.3%, motorcycles 15.0%, tractors 8.0%, trucks 3.5%, minibuses 1.9%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

969 thousand 308 road motor vehicles handed over in May

Among vehicles handed over in May, cars accounted for 69.4% followed by small trucks 15.7%, motorcycles 7.9%, tractors 2.9%, trucks 2.0%, minibuses 1.5%, buses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

In May, 46 thousand 626 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in May, Renault recorded 16.2%, Fiat 14.8%, Volkswagen 12.8%, Toyota 7.1%, Hyundai 6.2%, Dacia 5.1%, Honda 3.8%, Mercedes-Benz 3.7%, Citroen 3.4%, Kia 3.2%, Ford 2.8%, Skoda 2.7%, Audi 2.7%, BMW 2.5%, Nissan 2.4%, Opel 2.1%, Seat 1.8%, Peugeot 1.7%, Volvo 1.3%, Cupra 0.5% and the other trademarks 3.2% of the total.        

In the period of January-May 472 thousand 53 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-May period, compared to the same period of previous year, the number of registered vehicles decreased by 6.1% and became 472 thousand 53 while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 6.3% and became 16 thousand 60. Hence, in the period of January-May the increase in motor vehicles registered became 455 thousand 993. 

In the period of January-May the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 70.0%

Among 224 thousand 673 cars registered in the period of January-May, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 70.0% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 16.8%, electric or hybrid cars with 10.7% and LPG-fuelled cars with 2.5%. At the end of May, among 13 million 928 thousand 842 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 37.3% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 35.5% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 26.1%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.8% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.

Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January-May period

Within 224 thousand 673 cars registered to traffic in January-May period, 33.9% had 1300 or less, 27.1% had 1401-1500, 22.8% had 1301-1400, 8.0% had 1501-1600, 6.5% had 1601-2000, 0.7% had 2001 and above engine size.   

In January-May period 91 thousand 236 of cars registered were white

Within 224 thousand 673 cars registered to traffic in January-May period, 40.6% of them were white, 27.8% were grey, 11.3% were blue, 7.8% were red, 7.1% were black, 2.7% were orange, 1.3% were green, 0.7% were brown and 0.6% were yellow. (ILKHA)
