Hamas offers condolences to Afghanistan over earthquake victims
Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has mourned the "victims of the painful earthquake", which struck southeastern Afghanistan, leaving hundreds of victims and wounded.
In a brief statement on Wednesday, Hamas expressed "full solidarity with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the leadership and people".
Earlier today, media reports had reported the death toll from Afghanistan's earthquake to 950 people and more than 600 wounded.
The 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan, and CNN reported that the epicenter occurred approximately 46 kilometers south-west of the city of Khost, near Afghanistan's border with Pakistan. (ILKHA)
