Gazprom restrains gas supply to Europe through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline
“Information on the operation regime of the Portovaya compressor station (CS) was reviewed today during a briefing at Gazprom,” Russia's energy giant Gazprom said on Tuesday.
“Due to the failure by Germany's Siemens to return gas compressor units (GCUs) in due time after their repair, the expiration of time between overhauls set out for GCUs, and the malfunctions detected in engines (a non-compliance notification requiring temporary suspension of activities was received from Rostekhnadzor), only threes of the GCUs installed at the Portovaya CS can be used at the moments,” Gazprom stated.
“Currently, it is possible to supply 100 million cubic meters of gas per day into the Nord Stream gas pipeline (whereas the planned supply amount is 167 million cubic meters per day),” it added. (ILKHA)
