Türkiye’s chicken meat production rises by 4.7 in April—statistical agency
Chicken meat production was 199 thousand 200 tons, hen egg production was 1.59 billion units, the Turkish Statistical Institutes said on Tuesday.
In April, the number of slaughtered chicken increased by 8.4%, chicken meat production increased by 4.7%, hen egg production decreased by 0.5% and turkey meat production decreased by 7.9% compared with the same month of the previous year.
In the January-April period, the number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 12.8%, turkey meat production increased by 11.8%, chicken meat production increased by 8.7% and hen egg production decreased by 0.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production declined by 1.8% in April compared to the previous month and decreased from 202 thousand 938 tons to 199 thousand 200 tons.
Hen egg production declined by 4% in April compared to the previous month and decreased from 1 billion 653 million 693 thousand units to 1 billion 587 million 961 thousand units. (ILKHA)
