At least 40 people die in DR Congo diamond mine collapse
At least 40 people were killed late Tuesday when a diamond mine collapsed in the central Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), local sources reported.
Six bodies have been so far recovered from the collapsed mine, said Alain Tshisungu Ntumba, Interior Minister of the Kasai provincial government.
He noted that search and rescue efforts were going on to extract people from the ruins. (ILKHA)
