Tunisia denies diplomatic talks with zionist regime
The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied, in a statement issued Thursday, reports about diplomatic talks between Tunisia and Israel, describing them as false allegations.
The Ministry pointed out that some websites affiliated with israeli government have been spreading these rumors in repeated attempts to harm the image of Tunisia and its firm pro-Palestine position.
The Ministry's statement affirmed that Tunisia is not interested in establishing diplomatic relations with Israel, stressing that the country - on the official and popular level and as stated by Tunisian President Kais Saied - will always support the Palestinian people in their struggle until their legitimate rights are restored, foremost of which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
