Erdoğan: We take all steps to popularize research among the youth
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Award Ceremony of the TUBITAK High Schoolers’ Research Projects Contest at the Presidential Complex.
“We make every kind of investment to make sure that the youth can focus on their education as well as their mental and physical development. We take all steps including research supports, scientific centers, scholarships, festivals and laboratories in a bid to popularize research among the youth,” Erdoğan said.
Commencing his speech by greeting the participants, Erdoğan noted that whatever has been done thus far in the country has been done for citizens, particularly for children and the youth. “You are this country’s future and hope. Our sole issue is to incentivize the youth to read, research, think and produce. We endeavor to provide for whatever our children need in order for them to serve themselves as well as their families, nation and state in an optimum way. The High Schoolers’ Research Projects Contest, for the award ceremony of which we have gathered here today, is one of the outcomes of this endeavor. I am very happy to be with you for the 53rd of the contest, which has grown and developed to become a great incentive for our students over the years.”
Drawing attention to historic transformation achieved in every area of education, Erdoğan said: “We make every kind of investment to make sure that the youth can focus on their education as well as their mental and physical development. We take all steps including research supports, scientific centers, scholarships, festivals, and laboratories in a bid to popularize research among the youth.” (ILKHA)
