Powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake hits southern Peru
A strong 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Tirapata region of southern Peru on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake occurred around 7.02 am local time in the Tirapata region and was centered 8.1 miles (13km) east-southeast of Azangaro.
So far, there have been no reports of damage or casualties. (ILKHA)
