Afghan, UAE officials sign deal on management of three Afghan airports
First Deputy PM Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Transportation Minister Hamidullah Akhundzada, and UAE company GAAC’S CEO Razzaq Aslam attended the signing ceremony in Kabul on Tuesday.
“We want positive and good relations with other countries. The people of Afghanistan had faced many hurdles. Therefore, we are demanding others to invest here,” Baradar said at the signing ceremony.
Baradar added that the Afghan administration was renewing an airport ground handling agreement with the UAE.
The agreement came after months of negotiations with the UAE, Turkey and Qatar on the sensitive issue. (ILKHA)
