Russia says total of 1,730 fighters have now surrendered from Azovstal
Russia's defense ministry announced that 1,730 Ukrainian fighters had surrendered from Azovstal since Monday.
That includes a further 771 who surrendered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement on Telegram.
“Over the past 24 hours, 771 militants of the Azov nationalist unit surrendered at the blocked Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol. In total, since May 16, 1,730 militants have surrendered, including 80 wounded,” the Ministry said
“All those in need of inpatient treatment receive assistance in medical facilities of the Donetsk People's Republic in Novoazovsk and Donetsk,” it added. (ILKHA)
