Haneyya warns of dire consequences if israel assassinates leaders
Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has warned of dire consequences if the zionist occupation state resumed its assassination of Palestinian leaders.
This came in letters sent recently by Haneyya to several leaders and officials in the region to urge them to convey this warning message to the zionist government.
“You have heard recent israeli remarks about intents to assassinate leaders from the Movement, including Yehya as-Sinwar, Sheikh Saleh al-Aruri, commander Mohamed al-Deif, Zaher Jabareen and others,” Taher an-Nunu, Haneyya’s media advisor, said on Wednesday, quoting the Hamas leader as saying in his letters.
Nunu added that the Hamas leader underlined that israel’s assassination policy, if resumed, would lead “to strong reactions that no one can estimate its magnitude and fallout and would trigger a widespread confrontation with our people and resistance.”
Haneyya also stressed that the zionist occupation regime “cannot expect the price it would pay” if it carried out its assassination threats. (ILKHA)
