28,300 Russian soldiers were killed since aggression began-- Ukrainian Defense Ministry
28,300 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the aggression began, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 1251 Russian tanks, 202 aircraft, 167 helicopters, and 3,043 armored carriers.
The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 586 Russian artillery systems.
According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 3,700 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.
OHCHR said that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.
UN refugee agency said that more than 6,3 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began. (ILKHA)
