Russia has lost 27,700 soldiers since aggression began-- Ukrainian Defense Ministry
About 27,700 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the aggression began, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 1,228 Russian tanks, 200 aircraft, 165 helicopters, and 2,974 armored carriers.
The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 577 Russian artillery systems.
According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 3,600 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.
OHCHR said that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.
UN refugee agency said that more than 6 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began. (ILKHA)
