Türkiye’s chicken meat production rises by 12.7% in March
Chicken meat production was 202 thousand 938 tons, hen egg production was 1.65 billion units, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Wednesday.
In March, turkey meat production increased by 25.8%, the number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 12.4%, chicken meat production increased by 3% and hen egg production decreased by 0.04% compared with the same month of the previous year.
In January-March period, turkey meat production increased by 18.9%, number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 14.4%, chicken meat production increased by 10.1% while hen egg production decreased by 0.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production rose by 12.7% in March compared to the previous month and increased from 180 thousand 53 tons to 202 thousand 938 tons.
Hen egg production rose by 6.3% in March compared to the previous month and increased from 1 billion 555 million 418 thousand units to 1 billion 653 million 693 thousand units. (ILKHA)
