The developments regarding the war in Ukraine were discussed during the call. UN Secretary-General Guterres briefed Erdoğan on his contacts in Moscow and Kyiv, according to the Turkish presidency.

Erdoğan stated that Türkiye stood ready to support the UN-led efforts with regard to humanitarian assistance, evacuations, and humanitarian contact group.

Noting that they would continue to suggest both Ukraine and Russia to act with constraint and on the basis of reconciliation, President Erdoğan said that they would continue with determination and sincerity their efforts for the crisis to be overcome and peace to be restored
