Saudi Arabia visit will start a new era, Erdoğan says
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has shared a post on his social media accounts regarding his visit to Saudi Arabia.
Erdoğan recalled that he came to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and added: “We believe that it is in our joint interest to boost our cooperation with Saudi Arabia in such areas as healthcare, energy, food security, agricultural technologies, defense industry, and finance.”
“We paid a visit to Saudi Arabia upon the invitation of Hadimu'l Haremeyn (the Servant of Mecca and Medina). As two brotherly countries with historical, cultural, and humanitarian ties, we are striving to increase all kinds of political, military, and economic relations between us and to start a new era,” Erdoğan stated.
Touching upon the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, Erdoğan said: “We believe that it is in our joint interest to boost our cooperation with Saudi Arabia in such areas as healthcare, energy, food security, agricultural technologies, defense industry, and finance. It seems that we have significant potential, particularly in renewable and green energy. We state at every opportunity that to us, the stability and security of our brothers and sisters in the Gulf are just as important as our own security and stability.
We underline at every opportunity that we oppose terror in all its forms, particularly stressing the importance we attach to cooperation with the countries in our region against terror. I believe that we will carry our relations beyond their former level. I hope this visit, which takes place in the holy month of Ramadan when our Lord’s mercy, forgiveness, and compassion surround the hearts, may pave the way for a new era with the friendly and brotherly Saudi Arabia.” (ILKHA)
