Russia has lost 22,800 soldiers since aggression began-- Ukrainian Defense Ministry
About 22,800 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the aggression began, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 970 Russian tanks, 187 aircraft, 155 helicopters, and 2,389 armored carriers.
The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 431 Russian artillery systems.
According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 2,787 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.
OHCHR said that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.
UN refugee agency said that more than 5,3 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began. (ILKHA)
