Putin thanks Erdoğan for Türkiye’s role in prisoner swap
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
“During the call, Putin thanked Erdogan for coordinating and supervising the prisoner swap in Turkey,” the Turkish presidency said.
On Wednesday, the United States and Russia conducted a prisoner swap in Turkey that freed Trevor Reed, a former Marine who had been detained since 2019, in exchange for a Russian pilot imprisoned in the U.S. (ILKHA)
