Turkey's economic confidence down in April
Turkey's economic confidence index fell to 94.7 points in April, the country’s statistical institute said on Thursday.
The economic confidence index which was 95.7 in March decreased by 1.1% in April to 94.7. This decrease in the economic confidence index stemmed from the decreases in consumer and real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence indices.
The consumer confidence index decreased by 7.3% and became 67.3, real sector confidence index decreased by 0.5% and became 107.7 in April compared to the previous month.
On the other hand, the services confidence index increased by 3.0% and became 114.6, the retail trade confidence index increased by 2.9% and became 119.4, construction confidence index increased by 3.0% and became 83.5 in April. (ILKHA)
