The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation issued a statement regarding the importance of the World Jerusalem Day, which is celebrated with different activities every year, calling for participation in the events to be held on the occasion of the day, which corresponds to Friday, 29 April this year.

The full text of the statement, which was read out by Adnan Akgönül, the head of the foundation, is as follows:

OUR FOUNDATION’S PRESS RELEASE ON WORLD QUDS DAY

All praise is for Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth. Prayers and peace be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, his family, all of his companions, his distinguished lovers, the righteous, the martyrs, and all lovers of Quds, whose hearts beat for Quds.

                                   THE QUDS CAUSE IS THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM OF ALL UMMAH

               Quds (Jerusalem) and Al Aqsa Mosque are the holy land of Allah (Jella Jelaluhu), the first qibla of Muslims and their 3rd Harem-i Sharif, as well as the ascension point of the Islam’s Holy Prophet, the place of honor and exaltation to the sky. Quds is the symbol of unity and union of all Ummah. The Ummah is honored only with it and lives in captivity without it. If Jerusalem falls, the Ummah will fall. If Jerusalem falls, humanity will fall. This cause is the common cause of all Ummah. Jerusalem is as valuable as Mecca and Medina. Jerusalem is the honor, dignity, and sanctity of the Islamic Ummah. All Muslims are obliged to liberate Jerusalem and clear this holy place from the zionist occupation.

It has been for about a century that the first qibla of the Ummah, the holy land of Islam, is under the occupation of Zionist Jews, who are the fiercest enemy of Islam and Muslims. With the support of the U.S. the “Great Satan.”, and anti-Islamic Europe, the barbarian zionists are recklessly attacking the honor, dignity, and sanctity of the Islamic Ummah. Zionist murderers trample the sanctity of our first qibla Masjid al-Aqsa, attack the Muslims worshiping there, and enter our third holiest masjid with their impure boots.

We see images of murders and massacres from Jerusalem and other cities of Palestine in the news every day. Zionists are randomly slaughtering the oppressed Palestinian people, including women, children, young and old. If this horde of murderers is not stopped, just as Jerusalem is under captivity today, Istanbul, Tehran, Islamabad, Cairo, Mecca, Medina, and other Islamic cities will be in danger tomorrow.

O Muslim Ummah! O Muslim rulers! O Islamic scholars, opinion leaders, intellectuals, free-spirited believers! Open your eyes! The fighting for this blessed land, which has been entrusted to all Ummah, is not a responsibility that will be left only to the Palestinian people. Every member of Ummah is responsible for what happens in Jerusalem and bears responsibility for its re-conquest. Palestinian Muslims are trying to protect the honor of the Ummah by carrying the burden of the entire Islamic world on their shoulders. See what the precious heroes of Islam have done? The intifada reached the very heart of the Zionist gang.

Now, even in their so-called capital, there are Zionists roaming the streets in fear, unsure of the overwhelming resistance of the Muslims. With God's permission, the resistance is rising! The West Bank, the occupied 1948 territories, and all Palestine are on their way to becoming Gaza! Footsteps of a new intifada are giving the Zionist gang nightmares. If we do not act like the beloved sultans of the east and west, Saladin and Abdulhamid, for this great cause and holy lands today, this responsibility will crush us all. It is necessary to make Jerusalem, which is the common cause of Muslims, a conduit to the unity of the ummah, to ignore the conflicts and artificial dissentients for this cause, and to stand together against Zionist Israel.

As you know, today is International Quds Day... Today, Muslims flocked to the squares all over the Islamic world and came together for the cause of Jerusalem. Today is Jerusalem! The hands of the sons of the Ummah are in prayer for Jerusalem, the rising cries are for Jerusalem! Today is the day to cry for Jerusalem, to make sacrifices, to shoulder the cause of Jerusalem and to be sacrificed for Jerusalem! Because the freedom and dignity of the Ummah depend on the freedom and dignity of Jerusalem. No matter what nation, party, sect, community and movement we belong to, let's fight against the enemies of Jerusalem in unity and fraternity, relying on Allah! Let's free Jerusalem and open the way to freedom, independence and dignity for the Ummah!

On this occasion, we congratulate all Muslims of the world on the Day of Jerusalem, we hope from our Almighty Allah that these days will be celebrated in free Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa as soon as possible., and we gratefully commemorate all our brothers and sisters who fought for this cause and paid the price.
