Prophet’s Lovers to celebrate Mawlid Al-Nabi on media platforms
The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation announced that it will hold an event on TV and social media platforms on Sunday to celebrate “Mawlid Al-Nabi”, the birthday of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, which did not hold an open-air Mawlid event last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will not organize any outdoor events this year either as the Mawlid Al-Nabi week coincides with the month of Ramadan.
Instead, the foundation will hold an event on TV and social media platforms to celebrate “Mawlid al-Nabi”, the birthday of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
“An invitation to the Mawlid Al-Nabi event! Let's meet at the Media Mawlid Program to Understand the Prophet and Live His Sunnah. Date: 24 April 2022. Hour: 21:30. Our program will be broadcast live on Rehber TV and our social media accounts,” the foundation said on Twitter.

What is Mawlid al-Nabi?
Mawlid al-Nabi, Arabic for the "birthday of the prophet", marks the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth.
Mawlid is commemorated on the 12th day of Rabi al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar, which equates to 19 October in 2021's Gregorian calendar.
Mawlid is celebrated in almost all Islamic countries, and in other countries that have a significant Muslim population, such as Ethiopia, India, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, France, Germany, Italy, Iraq, Iran, Maldives, Morocco, Jordan, Libya, Russia, and Canada.
Mawlid is celebrated in a carnival manner; large street processions are held and homes or mosques are decorated. Charity and food are distributed, and stories about the life of Muhammad are narrated with recitation of poetry by children. (ILKHA)
