Afghan police arrest suspected ISIL member over mosque attack in Mazar-e-Sharif
Afghan security forces have arrested Abdul Hameed Sangaryar, a suspected ISIS member, who planned a bomb attack at a mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif.
The bomb attack, which killed at least 12 worshippers and injured 58 others, was claimed by ISIS.
“Abdul Hameed Sangaryar, ISIL’s former shadow governor for Balkh and the suspected planner of the mosque blast in Mazar-e-Sharif, was arrested by Islamic Emirate forces in Chahar Bolak district of Balkh,” said Mohammad Asef Waziri, Balkh Security Dept spokesman. (ILKHA)
