Russia shots down three Ukrainian combat aircraft—Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday that high-precision air-launched missiles destroyed 16 Ukrainian military installations during the night.
“High-precision air-launched missiles destroyed 16 Ukrainian military installations during the night, including five enemy command posts, a fuel storage facility, three ammunition depots, as well as personnel and military equipment concentrated in the areas of the settlements of Barvenkovo, Gulyai Pole, Kamyshevakha, Zelenoye Pole, Velikomikhailovka and Nikolaev,” the ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a daily press briefing in Moscow.
Konashenkov confirmed that the operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out strikes on 108 areas of concentration of personnel and Ukrainian military equipment.
“Russian artillery units during the night attacked 315 objects of the Ukrainian troops. The following were hit: 18 command posts, 22 artillery batteries, the OSA-AKM anti-aircraft missile system, as well as 275 enemy strongholds and areas of concentration of manpower.”
“Russian air defense systems shot down three Ukrainian combat aircraft in the air: two MiG-29 fighters in the area of the Izyum settlement and one Su-25 in the Avdiivka area. Also, 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the air in the areas of the settlements of Klimovo, Nevelskoye, Novotroitskoye, Izyum, Panteleymonovka, Sladkovodnoye, Yasnoye,” Konashenkov stated.
“In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 139 aircraft, 483 unmanned aerial vehicles, 250 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2326 tanks, and other armored combat vehicles, 254 multiple rocket launchers, 1004 field artillery, and mortars, as well as 2184 special military units automotive technology,” he added.
