“We spoke by phone with Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations. During our conversation, we addressed regional developments, with a particular focus on the incidents in Jerusalem and the Ukraine-Russia war. I told Mr. Guterres that everyone should support the Istanbul Process on Ukraine and that efforts to resolve the disagreements between the parties would be complementary to Türkiye's peace initiatives,” Erdoğan said in a post shared on his social media account regarding the phone call.

“I emphasized during the call that we consider the incidents that occurred as a result of Israel's interventions and provocations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque to be unacceptable and we strongly condemn them. Additionally, we addressed potential collaborative efforts to establish regional peace with Mr. Guterres,” he added. (ILKHA)
