About 20,000 Russian soldiers killed since aggression began—Ukrainian Defense Ministry
At least 19,900 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the aggression began, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 753 Russian tanks, 160 aircraft, 144 helicopters, and 1,968 armored carriers.
The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 366 Russian artillery systems.
According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 1,892 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.
OHCHR said that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.
UN refugee agency said that at least 4,7 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began. (ILKHA)
