Türkiye’s chicken meat production declines by 9.7% in February
Chicken meat production declined by 9.7% in February compared to the previous month and decreased from 199,454 tons to 180,053 tons, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement.
In February, the number of slaughtered chicken increased by 15.3%, chicken meat production increased by 13.4%, turkey meat production increased by 5.2%, and hen egg production increased by 0.2% compared with the same month of the previous year.
In the January-February period, the number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 15.5%, turkey meat production increased by 15.2%, chicken meat production increased by 14.3% and hen egg production decreased by 0.7% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Hen egg production declined by 7% in February compared to the previous month and decreased from 1 billion 672 million 232 thousand units to 1 billion 555 million 418 thousand units. (ILKHA)
