Today, the almighty has saved Pakistan and the 22 crore people of the country. This is the first time when the vote of no-confidence motion was successfully passed. The people of this country will celebrate this day,” Shehbaz Sharif said while addressing the National Assembly.

Sharif is the current President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, a liberal-conservative political party in Pakistan.

Previously, he has served as the Chief Minister of Punjab three times in his political career, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister of Punjab.

On Sunday, a no-confidence vote was conducted and Imran Khan was ousted from office, becoming the first prime minister in Pakistan to be removed from office by a vote of no confidence. (ILKHA)
