6 workers killed in blast at chemical factory in western India
Six persons working at a chemical factory were killed in an explosion in India’s western Gujarat state.
The explosion took place in Bharuch district at the Om Organic manufacturing plant early on Monday between 12.30 am and 1 am, local officials said.
The victims were working near a reactor when it suddenly blew off during the solvent distillation process, Bharuch Superintendent of Police Leena Patil said.
No one else was injured in the incident, Patil added. (ILKHA)
