Iran condemns deadly attack in Afghanistan
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman has strongly condemned an attack on a gathering of the oppressed people of Herat in a recreational area in Jebril Township of the city.
Saeed Khatibzadeh offered condolences to “the families of the victims of this terrorist act and also to the dear people of Afghanistan and wished patience and divine reward for the families and fast recovery for those injured in the attack.”
He once again warned about the divisive plots of the enemies of the Muslim Ummah.
Given this heart-wrenching incident and saddening events in the region, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman underlined the need for the rulers of Afghanistan to assume responsibility for the security of the Afghan citizens and to beef up security measures to protect people, most notably the more vulnerable ethno-sectarian groups of the Afghan people.
Khatibzadeh further stressed that Iran is confident that the Muslim brothers and sisters in Afghanistan will foil enemies’ conspiracies to cause divisions in the country through solidarity, co-thinking, and joint efforts. (ILKHA)
