Hamas delegation meets Qatari FM in Doha
The head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya met Qatar’s deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, in Doha on Sunday.
Hamas said in a press statement that both sides reviewed the latest developments on the Palestinian issue, the israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank, and the killings carried out by the zionist occupation forces.
“Hamas’s delegation explained the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons and touched on the Gaza siege and Judaization of Jerusalem. The delegates also stressed that the Palestinian people are aware of the israeli schemes,” it added.
The Hamas delegation, led by Haneyya, included Khaled Mishaal, Mousa Abu Marzouq, and Husam Badran.
The delegation hailed the positions of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his considerable support for the Palestinians and for renewing the Qatari grant for this year. They also expressed gratitude for Qatar’s support for Palestinians’ national rights, confirming that Qatar and Palestine will always maintain a strong relationship. (ILKHA)
