Turkey’s Erdoğan to attend extraordinary NATO summit in Brussels
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend an extraordinary NATO summit in Brussels on Thursday.
An extraordinary meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Heads of State and Government will take place on March 24.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the accompanying delegation will be in Belgium on March 23-24 to attend the summit.
Erdogan will convey Turkey's stance on the Russia-Ukraine crisis to NATO leaders and will focus on solutions for a ceasefire at the summit
Among the attendees will be U.S. President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The leaders will address the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, their support for Ukraine, and further strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense in response to a new reality for the Alliance’s security. (ILKHA)
