Turkey: Retail sales volume increases by 7.9% on annual basis
Retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 7.9% in January 2022 compared with the same month of previous year, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.
In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 0.5%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 15.8%, automotive fuel sales decreased by 0.4%, according to the statement.
Retail sales volume decreased by 1.5% on monthly basis
Retail sales volume with constant prices decreased by 1.5% in January 2022 compared with the previous month. In the same month non-food (except automotive fuel) sales decreased by 2.1%, automotive fuel sales decreased by 2.6%, food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 0.4%.
Retail turnover increased by 73.9% on annual basis
Retail turnover with current prices increased by 73.9% in January 2022 compared with the same month of previous year. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 53.5%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 77.8%, automotive fuel sales increased by 106.1%.
Retail turnover increased by 7.0% on monthly basis
Retail turnover with current prices increased by 7.0% in January 2022 compared with the previous month. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 7.8%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 5.0%, automotive fuel sales increased by 11.9%. (ILKHA)
