Dollar/TRY stays above 14.00 amid Russia-Ukraine war
Due to its fragile economy, Turkey has become one of the most affected countries by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The dollar rate, which rose to the level of 14.62 against the Turkish lira after Russia's attack on Ukraine, continues to stay above 14, even though it regressed a little.
Today, Turkish lira, which started the week with an appreciation, is standing at 14.28 against the US dollar and is trading at the level of 15.63 per euro.
Following the Russian aggression against Ukraine, there has been an increase in energy prices globally.
In Turkey, which is dependent on foreign countries for petroleum, natural gas, and hard coal, markets are closely following the pressure created by rising energy prices. (ILKHA)
