Erdoğan, Putin hold phone call to discuss war in Ukraine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sunday.
Two leaders discussed the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia-Turkey relations, Turkish presidency said in a statement.
Erdoğan underlined that an urgent general ceasefire would not only alleviate humanitarian concerns in the region but also give an opportunity to seek a political solution, according to the statement.
He emphasized the importance of taking urgent steps to ensure a ceasefire, open humanitarian corridors, and sign a peace agreement. (ILKHA)
