At least 30 killed in bomb blast at mosque in Pakistan
At least 30 worshipers were killed and dozens injured after a powerful bomb exploded inside a mosque in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar on Friday.
The explosion occurred as worshippers gathered at the Kucha Risaldar mosque for Friday prayers, local sources reported.
Two suicide bombers entered in mosque, one exploded himself when police intercepted him while second bomber is still missing, police said.
The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital where doctors worked feverishly.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the deadly attack.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the Peshawar blast. Expressing sorrow over the loss of precious lives and directing immediate medical aid to the injured. Requested incident report,” his office tweeted.
