IKEA temporarily halts Russia, Belarus operations
The Swedish flatpack furniture giant announced Thursday it would temporarily halt its activities in Russia and Belarus, in response to the war in Ukraine.
The decision is estimated to affect approximately 15,000 employees, 17 stores and three production sites, in response to the war in Ukraine.
“The war in Ukraine has both a huge human impact and is resulting in serious disruptions to supply chain and trading conditions, which is why the company groups have decided to temporarily pause IKEA operations in Russia,” the company said in a statement on Twitter. (ILKHA)
