Producer Prices in Turkey increases by 105.01% on annual basis

Domestic producer price index increased by 7.22% on monthly basis, by 18.43% on December of the previous year basis, by 105.01% on same month of the previous year basis and by 56.83% on the twelve months moving averages basis in February 2022.

Manufacturing increased by 97.86% annually

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 98.70% for mining and stone quarrying, by 97.86% for manufacturing, by 202.51% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 33.73% for water supply, annually.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 115.13% for intermediate goods, by 69.20% for durable consumer goods, by 70.00% for non-durable consumer goods, by 188.47% for energy, by 71.90% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 5.60% monthly

D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 6.39% for mining and stone quarrying, by 5.60% for manufacturing, by 24.66% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 7.37% for water supply, monthly.

The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 5.33% for intermediate goods, by 7.66% for durable consumer goods, by 5.38% for non-durable consumer goods, by 19.98% for energy, by 4.79% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower annual change observed in 20 subdivisions while 9 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for water; water treatment and supply services by 33.73%, for wearing apparel by 34.41%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 37.68%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for crude petroleum and natural gas by 213.67%, for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 202.51%, for coke and refined petroleum products by 198.88%.

Compared to general D-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 18 subdivisions while 11 subdivisions were higher

The lowest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for tobacco products by 1.20%, for wearing apparel by 2.82%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 2.90%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 24.66%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 20.52%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 17.63%.
