Russian troops near Ukrainian capital - Deputy Defense Minister
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on Friday that an attack by Russian troops on Vorzel, a town near Kyiv, is imminent.
“The enemy military seized the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, dressed in the uniform of the Ukrainian military and are moving at speed to the center of Kyiv from the direction of Obolon,” Malyar said.
She added that Russian troops may attack Vorzel and surrounding settlements today.
On the other hand, the ministry also reported that Kyiv is ready with anti-tank missiles supplied by foreign allies in anticipation of an imminent threat of a tank attack on the city today.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said 137 Ukrainians had so far been killed and 316 injured in the Russian attacks. (ILKHA)
