Turkey’s economic confidence index decreases by 2.6% in February—statistical agency
Economic confidence index realized as 98.2 in February, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement on Friday.
The economic confidence index which was 100.8 in January decreased by 2.6% in February to 98.2.
This decrease in economic confidence index stemmed from the decreases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade, and construction confidence indices.
Consumer confidence index decreased by 2.8% and became 71.2, real sector confidence index decreased by 1.8% and became 109.9, services confidence index decreased by 1.2% and became 118.7, retail trade confidence index decreased by 3.8% and became 119.8, construction confidence index decreased by 3.3% and became 82.7 in February compared to the previous month.
